For Maiella’s 2nd birthday, we did something we’ve always wanted to do (okay to be honest, it’s something I have always wanted to do– Warren has done it and did not want to do it again lol): We took a road trip and drove for 16 hours to Orlando, Florida! 🙂

It was more like… 24 hours because we took our sweet time, made rest stops every 3-4 hours, and stayed at a hotel in South Carolina overnight. We thought it was going to be a terrible ride to be with a toddler, but our little girl was such a trooper during the entire trip!

My sister-in-law’s family is from Lake Nona in Florida, and she found this beautiful restaurant where we can celebrate Maiella’s 2nd birthday. It was my dream birthday venue: a mouth-watering  brunch menu, intimate, and right by the water.

The food was awesome– they had a grazing table, appetizers and choices for the guests’ main course, unlimited coffee, iced tea and other drinks, and fruits for dessert. We brought in our own cakes, which everyone enjoyed.

Our guest list is rather short– it’s my family, Warren’s sister and family, and our close relatives who are based in Orlando. I’m so happy we got to spend time with our loved ones whom we don’t see very often. 🙂

Of course Disney is on the list, but that is a story for another day. 🙂
